Gene Simmons is not standing down after receiving backlash for his recent comments on Dancing with the Stars.
The ABC reality series returned from a week off, due to the Vice Presidential debate, with a two-night event. On Monday’s episode, the cast celebrated the 70s with Soul Train Night, where actress Rosie Perez guest starred and Jenn Tran exposed an impressive hidden talent.
During the second night, celebrities and their pro partners graced the floor with rock-inspired interpretations of dances like the Cha Cha, which was performed by Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko. The couple received backlash for their dance after the Sports Illustrated model appeared to lick her partner on the dance floor.
Although the contestants seemed to get a lot of attention, many were more focused on the guest judge of the night after he focused on other things aside from the dances.
Dancers approached the judge’s table for comments on their dancing and instead, received remarks about their physical appearances. The rock legend said one couple was difficult to look at because he was trying to decide which one was more “hot, hot, hot.”
NFL player Danny Amendola didn’t get too much feedback from Simmons since he focused on his pro dance partner Witney Carson since he admitted she was “one of the more beautiful women on the planet.”
Irritated fans quickly took to social media with their remarks.
One begged: “”Can Gene please stop commenting on the female dancers’ appearances? Please.”
“Just to be clear Gene Simmons is a world-class creep,” someone else bluntly wrote.
Although he received a fair amount of negative responses, the guitarist seems unbothered.

Simmons told a Daily Mail cameraman: “I stand by every word I said. I had a great time. The contestants were great. The show was great.”
He went on to say that he’s used to people’s comments. “Everybody’s got something to say,” he responded.
Simmons has been in the music industry since 1973 when the hard rock band KISS was founded.
The group became a household name with hit singles like “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” and “Psycho Circus,” which awarded them a Grammy nomination in 1999.
